Totally agree with Believer about attending the meetings and asking questions.

This forum is valuable however in its ability to “drive” certain things into the open. For instance, If it weren’t for the forum I would be none the wiser about the paying back of 3G money (which I am still waiting for).

I think that those of us on here who have questions to ask should do as I do and attend the AGM and pose those questions to the board. It is important to hold them to account as they are running the club on our behalf. It can be daunting but if you prepare the questions you would like answered beforehand it's really just reading aloud. I'm not always happy with the answers I get (I find Charlie in particular can be rather evasive - he should be a politician) but generally I leave with a better understanding of the issues and always appreciate that I have the chance to ask. Stuart is brilliant on here and answers as frankly as he can but really the AGM is the place for this. Come along - you might enjoy it. Anyone can also ask me a question in private on a match day either home or away...I’m not hard to find at The Pan as I’m normally trying to handle the mic and a pint at the bottom of the steps from the dressing room

I in no way mean to diminish the importance of the forum as it is a useful discussion tool but do remember that Stuart is now the only director who regularly posts here since Equality. I to have concerns about the clubs direction and Chris Harris does make good points about our divergence from the constitution but still the only way to really hold the board to account is at an open meeting.

There are areas of inequality- we receive central funding from the FA for a GM for instance, the media commitments are higher and the team have to train one additional session. Oh, and the women play at a higher respective level. But.... Playing Budgets are the same, management budgets are the same, kit is the same, access to the pitch is the same, use of facilities is the same. If you feel the inadequacies are on the footballing side then ask away as ultimately I’m the director responsible for on the field performance and have recruited both Darren and Fran. The last two fans meetings have been attended by about ten people excluding club officials. In fact I think at the last one there were more club officials (both first team managers, the board and even a player) than fans. We will continue to run them but we’d really like more fans to attend and ask questions..

I must admit have not attended for long time and am not that bothered. But, when I did they were not proper meetings. As in there was no agenda, certainly not written or circulated and it seemed to be a question of who talked the most standing by the bar. I apologise if this is just a brief impression and I appreciate what those in charge do. Also I am not interested in asking Darren or any footy man about tactics or signings, that's their job. I am interested in whether the club if financially sound/direction/self sufficient etc

Just had a scroll through the equality fc twitter page. Not a single mention of the men, funny that! Would that be because the newly unelected “equality fc campaign manager” is interested in one team only?

No but you can’t compare the two and thus it can’t be classed as equal. Unfortunately there’s very little we can do about that for the next few seasons

If you are referring to Karen being seconded onto the board, then you are right there have been no tweets about the men’s team since her position was confirmed. There have also been no tweets about the women’s team so that makes it equal, correct?

I saw earlier that the last meeting was only attended by around 10 fans that being true surely the question must be WHY???.im sure we can all give our opinions as to why....is it not possible that the agenda has been pre determined and the fans are/were well aware that is the case and so DONT BOTHER to turn up

Anyone, owner/fan/player/player’s Mum can turn up and ask whatever question they want. Sometimes we have a volunteer such as Spur who takes notes and posts them on here. The only time there’s an agenda is for the AGM when we have the election and a brief run through of the financials and then anyone can ask any question.

Bit harsh judging a meeting you have never been too. The board have tried to find a good time including before an under 18 game after a first team game. some I could make, some I could not.

I’d say the reason why was that it was held after the Whitehawk game (from memory) and a lot of fans had gone home.
We’ve experimented with a mid-week night and post-match. There’s always a reason why people can’t attend and that’s understandable.
Perhaps there’s a low turnout because things have been going better on the pitch in the last two/three years than in the previous seasons. Just an observation of nearly ten years experience of being at the club.
