Sadly I wasn't at the game Saturday but as a long time WFC supporter, I am very embarrassed by what I've read. On the whole, Wealdstone supporters are a very dedicated bunch and it's the supporters who have kept the club alive. However, there are times even at home games that I am sick of the comments directed towards opponents goalkeepers. Banter is great and sarcastic comments can be funny but there are a small minority, in my opinion that bring the name of our great club down and I'm fed up with it. I am as unhappy with the all of our supporters at the indifferent start to our season but I wouldn't dream of disrespecting another club the way some of our fans have done. It is a small minority and I would rather they don't come anymore and don't blame the drink served at the ground. No one forces it down them. I for one apologise for the antics of the few and hope that we might just might put that right, when you visit us. Please don't think we all behave like this and I for one hope Lewes FC do well this season.

Good post stonesfan and good luck to your club and the 95% of your fans who caused no problem whatsoever.

95 per cent - you are joking - it looked much more than 5% to me - its not time to move on , this club shouldnt be playing games in this league. The game should have been called off as our goalie was in too much danger and a steward was attacked and people came on to the pitch twice. i thought the self control showed by our stewards and fans suoerb and the focus of young miller in goal heroic. Astonishing - this will cost us fans and money - i have spoken to two families who wont come again and i am not feeling too enthusiastic about it - shocking. surely the ref must report it?

Hopefully the club will insist on pressing charges against the main oaf and an example can be made of him. Whats sad is Wealdstone (and I mean the club, not just the minority of fans) will probably welcome him back like a conquering hero.

Agree we ought to move on. Shame though that on their forum they are queueing up to give any manner of excuses for what happened, from the PA announcer winding them up, to the bar being irresponsibly left open, to the Ham Lane exit not being open at the end of the game. Apparently there are no issues of personal responsibility. Bizarrely we end up being in the wrong and some of them think everything is OK because they take their football seriously and passions were high. I want to believe it is just a minority who think what happened was OK, but where are the sane voices on their forum? If it had been Lewes fans doing this away from home, our forum would be full of comment condemning it. I find it all a bit wierd.

Another proud boast from the Wealdstone forum "I love the way the fans put the referee under so much pressure as well. If you can referee a Wealdstone game you can referee any game". Seems like they do it at home as well!

I also thought it odd they weren't ushered out of the Ham Lane end after the match.
Wealdstone was one of away games I had pencilled in this season but think I'll pass on that now

And nobody's mentioned the sexist stuff, too – our physio coming in for crude comments and gestures. But it WAS a minority of their fans. If there were signs Wealdstone were dealing with the problem it would be easier to move on . . .

Hopefully where ever the stones go they will be restricted in what they do and drink thanks to the few Baboons that follow a team that cant "RESPECT". As for the alcohol thing does that mean pubs which show live football should stop selling booze? One incident in five years=not bad! compared to pubs on a Fri/sat night wherever!? www.wealdstonefc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3554feel sorry for the kids and parents who had to witness such behaviour from complete idiots.

Its ironic but we will be thanking Wealdstone if they beat Lowestoft on Saturday. A weakened Lowestoft (injuries galore) have to travel to the cauldron of Grosvenor Vale.

Statement by their Board now on their website at wealdstone-fc.com/ Very honest and decisive and I think that deals with it.

Just the sort of response I'm sure most of us were looking for. Congratulations to the Wealdstone board. I suppose it's a pencilled line until next time they visit, but it can now definitely be drawn . . .

No different to when I travelled with BHA and England away. There football fans having a good time. Yes we don't want the trouble but one isolated incident doesn't cause a war. Forget it and move on.
