your friend was right rodmell. i watched the game on rangers tv and was on the edge of my chair until the seconed goal went in right at the end. every team rangers play are playing as if they are in a cup final and i'm seeing some decent players at this level. average wage of 8k a week and full time with great facilities up against part timers who train two nights a week. football is a great leveler and dont forget...we had a right go against stoke.

Had a bit of a catch-up with my Dad last week. He says they've been turning it on at home in front of big crowds - but at the away venues, sometimes in someone's front garden, certain players don't show.
Also - there's talk of a SPL restructure soon, to include the winners of SFL3 ?

watched the game last night from ibrox....pure rubbish...the referee was a mr. mc lean. probably the worst referee i've seen for years. not moaning about the score....pure rubbish...but why do these crap referees get away with it. i know they have a hard job but....when he's joined by two wanker linos, things are dire. i just wait in vain for a decent ref.

what a result...we expected it but now it's here, it's time to ask...why. why did the excise spend so much public money on trying to get such little return from glasgow rangers on a 'tax fiddle' that was always legal. almost every football club in the uk took this route to reward players several years ago. it seems that the whole collapse of the club was due to the huge threat of telephone numbers tax bill...mainly made up of fines and charges...based on a poor legal foundation. craig white...may his next toilet be a hedgehog...got the club on a pack of lies...and was responsible for the present position. as a football supporter..lets see people who run clubs do it properly..lets see the football authorities act properly and evenhandedly with any club in problems...but most of all...lets see the tax man get onto the numerous multi national mobs who steal billions...and the politicians, comics, singers and bloody bankers who steal with impunity. so...why....why take so long to sort. who is responsible for this shambles.

Surely it should be a nice wee malt. Especially as the nights start drawing in over there.
So, what's your preference ...
3 joint leagues - 16, 10, 16.
Or 2 SPL leagues - 12, 12 - but part-way through the season, it becomes 8, 8, 8.
Confused? You bet.

nhorm...i just dont know. the financial clout of rangers and celtic is so far ahead of all the others that it's difficult for most of the others to compete. this is only down to the big divide and i'm sorry to say that i cant see either side ever softening towards neutral. a look at the crowds shows that most of the other clubs are playing to empty terraces and rely on the big two. the spl and sfa are just not up to it....and in a country so small in football terms..begs the question...cant these people slim down the administration...i dont know what for best.

daisuke nakajima.....yes thats how it's spelt...is a japanese football writer working for footballista. great interest in rangers in japan. the editor of footballista decided that mr. nakajima should cover the elgin v. rangers irn bru 3rd division game last sunday. so he turned up in edinburgh to find the game cancelled. he told his editor the reason for the cancellation and was instructed to report on the circumstances as it was a bigger story than the game would have been. he walked about elgin wearing a rangers scarf. 6,000 miles....oh well... the elgin board sold nearly 6,000 tickets for a ground that holds 4.500. this about sums up the state of the scottish game.

Very poor at the weekend - called off on safety grounds coz home club gets greedy (or is inept).
Met a Japanese journo in the precinct back in the summer - must have been when we were selling tickets for the Brighton friendly - was on a tour of the UK, for a travelogue back in Japan - remember him being interested in my views on independence (!) - and he said he'd already being warned not to mention Glasgow while in Edinburgh, or vice-versa.
