Surely all the streets in Tokyo are thronging with people in hooped shirts, thanks to Mr Nakamura.

But think it was his free kick against MU that put us in the last 16 for the first time. And the missed penalty (Saha?) of course. Happy days.

price waterhouse cooper have just published the financial situation of the spl. last year, profit of 2mil.....this year loss of 11.9mil. this loss due to loss of rangers and consequent tv contract. other factors as well but it seems that the spl clubs are now suffering the lack of income from the blue hoards. the 3rd div. clubs are loving it and playing to full houses with the obvious benefits and cash injections. now the cup draw has paired rangers with dundee utd. their chairman was very vocal in his dislike of the bears and so now the various rangers supporters groups are boycotting this game. the effect of this will cost utd. plenty.....blame the whole administration for this shambles while things just get worse.

IF... Rangers are/were guilty ... then that was always the tricky issue - do the right thing and punish them, but know that it will hit the finances - or find some cop-out route that prevents loss of money, which might be more practical, but not fair.
I can't work out what's going on ... recent news releases suggest Rangers were hard done by ... or is that just spin?
So - the SPL voted for 2x16 - to be split into 3x8 part-way through the season - still haven't got my head around that one.

the fact is....whyte did not pay tax and vat/ nat ins and this has been dealt with...police involved...but he only got the club because hmce went public with a debt that was in fact fiction. rangers use of tax loopholes was found to be legal. many other clubs use the same methods of payment. so now theres an enquiry about the way this whole affair was dealt with by the tax officials. details of the case were leaked and several delays caused by taxman who added charges to the fiction and caused havoc to the club. the spl were quick to decide that the club was guilty. many club chairmen shouted the odds....quiet now...poorer now. bbc and many others being sued. perhaps it needed this earthquake to shake up the backward thinking grey men at hampden. as for reconstruction...i watch with interest but worry about the lack of leadership and foresight.

rangers refused their ticket allocation from dundee utd. for the forthcoming cup game at tannadyce. the club backed the fans boycott which is due to chairman thompson being publicly insulting during the tax case. rangers insisted that they will still take their entitlement of 40% of the gate....which will be given to charity. thompson complained to the sfa asking for rangers to be charged with the old coconut 'bringing the game into disrepute'. sfa response...no rules broken. share issue a success at 22.2 million and message to all other skint clubs...and mr. taxman. thompson, petrie, lawell and the rest...take note.

Looks like your B Boys are running away with it now. Not long til you're in SFL2 - or SPL2c - or whatever it might be. Seems strange not having an upcoming Ne'erday(ish) Old Firm match.
Festive Greetings - enjoy the snow. Recuerdos a todos.
