Just noticed that we have withdrawn from the Sussex Senior Cup this season due to being in the Fenix trophy. Probably a sensible decision given the extra games we will have and of course the travelling involved.
Are we any closer to having our fixtures determined? I appreciate that a lot has been going on in recent weeks and that it must be hard to find suitable dates etc.
Initially we were told to expect a round of fixtures in October (I think) but assume that won’t be the case now with people needing to book time of work and figure out travel arrangements etc to attend.

We will be at home in November and February, away in December and March.
We should have confirmed dates in the next week or so.

Great news. I presume the December away must be Belgium? Looking forward to seeing the dates soon and getting booked up!

Anyone know what type of pitches these teams play on? lewesfc.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/202324-Rooks-Handbook.pdfThis handbook provides some useful information on what to expect - pages 45 to 49. The game against KSK Beveren is expected to be played at SK Beveren's Freethiel Stadion, which is a grass surface, or worse case it's played on astro next door: "The club do not play all their games here which is the permanent home ground of SK Beveren or Waasland-Beveren (not to be confused), often having to play league games on the astro turf surface next door, which has a capacity of around 1,000 but it is hoped for our Fenix Trophy tie it will be hosted in the main stadium that has two big, covered stands, decked out in blue and yellow seats on either side of the pitch, one of which has executive boxes at the back and terracing at either end, one end of which is covered. Views are superb from whatever vantage point you decide to take." FC Oslo's playing field on the other hand seems to be an artificial surface like most lower league Scandinavian teams use: "FC Oslo play around 3 miles north of the city centre, not too far from the national stadium, Ulleval. Facilities are modest at the sports ground which has a 3G pitch but not much cover for fans. However, the hospitality is top notch in the club house." Let's hope the beer is cheap er at the clubhouse!

More in the city centre but God knows what you'd get charged in London these days. It was £7.50 a pint at the golf at Wentworth last week.
