I've read every page of this thread and of course it's a hot topic but I've now voted online not based on this, but every candidates credentials. They all have more to offer than purely this matter. Yep - that seems like the sensible way to go ... Good Luck to all Seven - and whatever the outcome, well done to all for standing.

As an overseas owner, I'm not able to chat to candidates at the Pan, so this thread has been very useful to me when considering who to vote for (I nearly missed my stop on a train yesterday as I was deeply engrossed reading!) and it's healthy that we have earnest & respectful discussion of the issues. I just want to say thanks to everyone who contributed to it.

Just to clarify everyone standing receive no income from the club currently do they, and if they do will they resign from there income role. It's important to know this due to my understanding is that no board members are to be employed by the club

I said from the start that if the 5 people where elected that have been I would walk away from the club and stop any donations I was making and I will be true to my word.
You have a man with bags of football knowledge and history in the game bypassed for what is no more than a popularity contest, I'm sorry but it's farcical we have turned down a man that has worked in one of the biggest supporters trust in the country. It's beyond staggering and to me shows this club isn't about football it's about who yours mates are, I've never meet Richard but he was by far and clear the stand out candidate from his pitch. It's farcical and well i am done as I want to support a club that is focused on football not on who is liked the most. Richard I'm staggered you didn't get elected but not in the slightest bit surprised

I agree that Richard appeared to be a stand out candidate and I voted for him myself, however, this is democracy - even with a 20% turnout. Richard has said on another thread that he intends to be involved if wanted and I believe the board will take him up on that offer. I for one will not be withdrawing support from the club. We have some good and smart people on the board who are also fans and I know they will do their best on our behalf. COYR.

So you're going to stop posting too, presumably? Just because you have personal views and, apparently, an agenda you want to pursue, that doesn't mean that the whole world is against you. If you're walking away from the Club, then fine. That's your decision, and I for one can live with it. Oh, can you explain what you mean by the "staggered" and "but not surprised" bit, because you've really lost me.

Well the guy in charge of our football tried to block book a night at the 3G and told all fully booked in the evening in the week until the summer - so must be raking it in there at least at £100 an hour. Good news - except for us as we wanted to move to the better surface at the 3G. Does anyone know any other good pitches in the area? Thanks.

Let's all keep calm about this. We are really very lucky to have so many folk willing to stand as candidates for the Board. Today at the Pan I know for certain that three of our lady members of the Board spent the entire day working on improving the facilities doing maintenance and renovation stuff I wouldn't have a clue about. Plus the husband of another Director was in this morning working as a volunteer fixing the electrics. This evening the unsuccessful candidate for Directorship Richard Irving met with members of the Lewes FC Supporters Club and CEO Kevin in the Rook Inn to talk about ways we can encourage more fan support and other initiatives. Richard is clearly very keen to help the club go forward and very much understands that being a Board member isn't a condition of this. I think we right now have a very healthy whole club set-up and every chance of the First Team winning a welcome promotion.
