Relax everyone! It looks like we have some players! I've just seen five guys wearing Lewes kit walking up from the 3G/college direction. Another dozen and we have a squad. They were the mascots

If they were the mascots then we are going to have a very tall squad. 😄

The club's communication manager was let go, I imagine due to cuts, not long after our first two signings were announced. This is probably the main factor in the lack of communication. I imagine the club will be seeking a volunteer to take over communications at some point in the future. Or one of the directors could take responsibility. There was a time Whed Wd got everyone to take specific responsibility for different aspects such as volunteers and communications. The club has a Fan Engagement Officer in Shrey, surely he should be currently engaging with the fans and posting updates. It could be. Player recruitment has firstly always been the subject of frustration on here where there is a hunger for more annd quicker information and the club preferring to release information as and when. Secondly It has firmly been within Stuart’s orbit. It would be up to the board to instruct Shrey to pick this sort of thing up. I am not sure what falls within Shreys remit, or indeed how often he is at the club. Other than a very few instances my only contact has been where I have contacted the club. Presumably if the Board wanted him to do different things they would have told him .

Yeah agreed, great signing. If he can build on last year (especially his form before his injury) he could be a key player this season.

Sablier is a quality player. Surprised he's dropped two leagues, but a great signing. Have to say, if we can lure him to the Pan why couldn't we keep a few of last season's squad? He must be on reasonable money.

Our fifth signing is Matty Warren, midfielder, formerly of Cray Valley PM, Sittingbourne, Sevenoaks, and Ramsgate. Sounds pretty experienced with Step 4.

indeed hatter as a relative newbie moved here in 2015 have there ever been any local lads actually born and lived in lewes who played for the mens team??? Quite a few. The two most recent being David Wheeler, who is doing very well at Wycombe, and Steve Brinkhurst. Terry and Pip Parris. Leon Legge. Solly March (briefly). John Crumplin football genius. Gary Alfie Elphick. Simon Wormull. Sam Gargan. Micky French. Darren Freeman. John Robinson. Mike Ring. Kevin Keehan. All Sussex-born-and-druv, and close enough to count as honorary Lewesians? (Hope you're all well, and looking to a decent season. Nothing wrong with mid-table....)

Would someone on admin mind collating the list of newcomers and posting at the start of this thread? Makes it a lot easier to keep up to date with comings and goings. Reckon we have 8 or 9 announced now.
