Oh dear. Not our finest hour. Torn to pieces at the back. Could have been much worse too. They're going to need some picking up for Tuesday night.

I watched the video of the HASHTAG game & thought we were (at times) somewhat shambolic at the back and lucky to win. Perhaps Billericay saw the video and exploited the weaknesses. Whether there’s time to sort out the problems B4 the Horsham game(Tuesday) , will only be evident by our performances

Probably not our finest hour. Billericay are a good side, especially at home in front of a decent size crowd. Look to bounce back on Tuesday evening.COYR

Oh dear, that was not a good afternoon. The score could have been much worse, and an own goal and missed penalty by Lewes increased the gloom. Interesting ground to visit but the ladies loos need some maintenance. Journey home delayed by hold up on M25.

Interesting ground to visit but the ladies loos need some maintenance. Journey home delayed by hold up on M25. "Apart from that Mrs. Lincoln, did you enjoy the play?". The coffee was horrible and the "geezer" in the tea bar said to me "Are you Lewes? You're cack!". Customer service at its peak! But let's look at the positives. I live nearby (ish) so was home early. Anything else good?.Um...er....not a lot. Nathan and Arthur played well. C'est toot, Rodney.

It was my first visit to Billericay (I've been to various places around the world with dodgy reputations, but had so far avoided this one) and was quite pleasantly surprised! Yes, the dressing room building did look like a cricket pavilion and I did miss one of the four (?) Billericay shots that hit the post while in a long queue for chips, but the service was ok when I reached the front.
People near us were reasonable and we parked easily.
As for the game.... the home side looked dangerous on every attack. They were fast and tricky, unafraid to hit a long ball and chase it, which turned our defence round and put us under constant pressure.
It was on a par with the showing at Chatham, but yesterday Nathan was unable to produce the string of wonder saves he did that afternoon.

Unfortunately teams have sussed us out - Our centre back can’t run , he’s slow one footed and always out of position because of it. If Arthur gets injured long term we’ll lose his defensive awareness that so far has kept things reasonably tight.

Billericay’s tactics were spot on. Perfect counter attacking. Let us have the ball, everyone goes up the pitch, we lose it, they launch forward at speed, one pass cut us open and its 3v3. And they were faster all over the pitch. I don't think it's exaggerating to say that it could easily have been double figures. Nathan made some brilliant saves and was probably our M.O.M. A very bad day to be a Lewes fan.
Lunch was good though.

Excellent reporting Barry. Can we have a Supporters Report Annual at the end of the season? It would make good summer reading.

A great match report from the supporters as always (even more valuable given the lack of any reference to the match on the club's own website, other than in the "Match Centre"). I was intrigued to see that my brother was firing questions at Rishi Sunak, though, and I'm sure he will be amused to read it later.

Glad I'm not the only one to find it rather strange that following a 5-0 defeat there's been zero reference to it, in terms of an official match report or an interview with the manager.
