Lewes ran out deserved winners 3-1 of tonight's Fenix Trophy tie in Belgium though KSK Beveren came back strong for a while in the second half. Nice to notch up another Euro scalp for Lewes after quite a few years. I was watching via excellent Youtube live coverage. Could clearly hear the lewes fans in fine voice. Had to my hand a bottle or two of Harvey's Best plus a delicious chocolate Belgium waffle courtesy of Shrey. It looked like Belgium got the same rain we had in Lewes this morning!

Nice win and for pretty much all the game we shifted the ball around quicker. I hope the lads have a great night in the town, recover and step on again this Saturday. Great support tonight well done Lewes. Massive !

Also watched on YouTube. Good value for the win. But like the Oslo game in that Beveren got quite physical as the game went on and put in a few robust challenges. Good coverage picture wise, although it's a shame that there's no commentary in English...could we not provide someone? Quite surreal watching Lewes play in Europe with Belgian commentary. Looking at the group, I see Beveren beat Oslo who can now only get a maximum 6 points. A win at home to Beveren on Feb 27 would see us through, I think, before we go to Oslo in March. The other English teams, Enfield and FC United of Manchester, are also well placed to make the semi finals. Not such good news for Manchester's other team this evening - Lewes will still be in Europe long after they've packed away their passports 🤣
