How are people making their way to this one? The trains are looking a bit iffy, with warning markers about industrial action everywhere. The two usual Stodgebuster drivers aren't going either, so I might have to get the chickens out of my old Rookmobile.

I'll be surprised if it's on. Canvey Island forecast is sub-zero overnight rising to a max of 3c by 3pm.

Looks like we're getting an absolute spanking losing 4-0

Finished 4-1. What happened there then? Concord were bottom before the game!

Don’t look good pj another defeat bye a bottom team just not good enough, need a very good run now to have any chance of a playoff place points are better than games in hand just not consistent enough.

There was a minuscule crowd and we gave an abject display. Extremely predictable and slow in the build-up with an almost embarrassing lack of movement, we then gifted their No.9 a comical opening goal. The second, which their No.9 bobbled in off the post, was little better but we could have been 3-0 down at the interval when they thumped the bar from 20 yards. Some dubious tackles from both sides and a lengthy hold-up at a free kick for an off-the-ball incident involving Chris Whelpdale did nothing to improve the match. In the second half they went 3 up when their guy left our defender on his backside with a sharp turn and powerful cross-shot, and the fourth was a penalty for a blatant pull-back which gave Day his hat-trick from the spot. We had to endure no fewer than 7 additional minutes on what was already an interminable afternoon, but it gave Tommy, who hadn't had a sniff or decent bit of service all day, the chance to bury a low half-volley. A dreadful afternoon. The team was still out on the pitch when we left.

This is where we are missing Sablier, he had the legs to press, win the possession and also the quality to be effective with it. Our midfield at the moment, of Penney, Pritchard and Whelpdale just aren’t mobile enough which is unsurprising when Penney is a CB and the other two have a combined age of nearly 80. Penney and Pritchard I think have been really good, but unless we have that player with the ability to get around the pitch and be a nuisance it won’t work. Personally I would play Tamplin or Ayo in the middle, both can run and aren’t bad on the ball either, at least until Sablier is back or we get a replacement in
