A great atmosphere at the Pan this evening, with a crowd above 1100 and - although the score line doesn't suggest it - a comfortable victory for the Rooks.
We took the lead on 16 minutes, when a deep cross from Deon on the right was headed home by Kalvin, our best player on the night. It was a one-sided contest throughout the first half, the Rooks individually stronger, first to the ball and cutting through at will, so that a three-goal lead wouldn't have flattered us.
Oslo made some changes at the break, came out with more intent and it became more of an even contest, without our rearguard ever being seriously threatened. It also became more feisty, with the visitors leaving the foot in on several occasions, and Archie Tamplin, felled after running through three players, had to be taken off on a stretcher having spent several minutes motionless on the ground.
The Oslo keeper struck up a relationship with the crowd behind his goal, their squad were given generous applause at the end of the match and the ground rang with optimistic chants - Archie's injury apart, a fun start to our European adventure.

Wasn't the best game but was certainly a great experience with over 1000 in attendance at the Pan under the lights for our first Fenix trophy game.
FC Oslo have a great group of lads - loved the entertainment at half time and of course their goalie was a great sport too. We dominated the first half but they definitely held their own in the 2nd.
Looking forward to the reverse fixture in Oslo but eyes are on Antwerp/Beveren first! COYR

Really pleased that over 1,000 turned out on a Tuesday night. Should have been out of sight at half time but they were better second half. In truth both teams were pretty toothless in attack, the lovely move and cross for the goal aside. I do think we need more options up front...are we going to rely on Wood with no support, or attacking forward on the bench, all season? It will cost us. Elliot was my motm - him and Penney have been excellent signings. Hope Tamplin is OK - it was a crude challenge but I didn't think it merited a straight red. Good to see Gondoh in the crowd joining in the singing. Spoke to him briefly at Margate and still a few weeks away from returning. Need him and Moore flying on the wings to open up some space in the middle.

A fabulous evening, only marred by the injury. I hope the poor lad is ok and that the brace was a precaution. Want him back asap.
We really should have been two or three up in the first half. the longer it went on, the more I worried.
We heard that the Norway flag was bought by some Whitehawk wags who came along for the night.

Actually Worthing fans…strange that they’d rather come and support the opposition when their own team were playing at home on the same night

Attendances for mid week League games are usually down on Saturday attendances. Having said that how did we manage to get over a 1000? Within reason I wonder if they will all be back for the Horsham game or was it just the novelty of us hosting a team from outside the UK?

Some good marketing activities and the curiosity of how good the standard is in the competition I would suggest
