Progcast on Saturday reminded me - next Saturday there are no trains East Croydon - East Dulwich - London Bridge or Clapham Junction - Denmark Hill - Canada Water.
Replacement buses will take forever, if they turn up at all - so your best bet is to go direct from Victoria to Denmark Hill (which does have trains running) and walk or bus from there to Champion Hill.

According to the journey planners, the bus journey is about 45 minutes. Denmark Hill does look a safer bet although it costs more. The 40 bus is quite regular from there and looks like it goes past the ground.

Anyone know what the parking is like, either on street or at the ground?

Anyone know what the parking is like, either on street or at the ground? Parking restrictions all around the area. I think you may be able to park in Sainsbury’s if you spend £x in store but don’t quote me on that

According to the journey planners, the bus journey is about 45 minutes. Denmark Hill does look a safer bet although it costs more. The 40 bus is quite regular from there and looks like it goes past the ground. All bus routes from Denmark Hill Station (40,176,185,484) go past the ground. The bus stop is just outside the station exit to the left and you shouldn't have to wait more than 2 or 3 minutes for a bus. (You want to get off at Quorn Road, which is the 4th stop.) Unless you have reduced mobility you can walk all the way in less than 15 minutes, just follow the main road and the ground is on the right down the other side of the hill. If you end up at Blackfriars there's a half hourly service to Denmark Hill from there, don't get the bus all the way. If anyone needs to save money by avoiding Zone 1, your best bet is to change at East Croydon for the stopping service to Tulse Hill, then brave the rail replacement bus for 2 stops from there to East Dulwich. As a non-driver I'm not sure about parking restrictions. Sainsbury's used to have a 2 hour limit for their car park, which isn't quite enough, but I think it might have been extended to 3. (Try checking their website.) Quorn Road and Pytchley Road (the streets leading into the East Dulwich Estate across the main road from the ground) were always unrestricted, but I can't be certain that's still the case. Don't try parking in the residential cul-de-sacs to the left of the ground entrance.
