if its not a done deal then why the reluctance to put it to the vote whether its to be a yes or no could it be that a dictate from board room level fears the result of such a vote being a no to these proposals and and with that in mind have already decided there wont be such a vote..no amount of damage limitations will remove such suspicions

It's funny you mention the Boardroom. I was pondering earlier how very little many of us know about most of the Board. One or two are visible, but so little is ever shared about which Directors do what, and why. It's like in the rich benefactor days – a few other Directors used to pitch up at the AGM, but rarely uttered a word whilst the usual two or three ran the whole thing. Time and again. Maybe AGMs etc are different now, as I haven't been since pre-covid days. I wonder whether two or three have led this decision, or whether the whole Board were actively engaged in the negotiations in one way or another.

There were five of the board at the game today, all of whom had various jobs/roles. I believe there will be around the same number there tomorrow. Each of the board has at least one specialist role and devote significant time to the club every week. If you want to understand more detail (perhaps you may want to volunteer your time and stand at the AGM), let me know and I’d happy meet up at a game and give you more detail on some of the roles and responsibilities

Hi wm- interesting you challenge the anonymity of Directors when you choose not to use a full name on a public forum.
I’m a current director and have been since 2015. I’m also the club secretary and men’s matchday secretary. Hard to put a figure on it but I probably volunteer about 10-15 hours every week to the club. I enjoy doing it and in my opinion, it’s par for the course when you sign up as a Director so I don’t like to make a public spectacle. I’m at every match so please come find me any time, I’d love to talk to you about this issue and get your feedback in person as that is valued. Given some of your comments here are potentially libellous, it would be good to talk those through too

Given some of your comments here are potentially libellous, it would be good to talk those through too Honestly, I'm not an idiot. i can read the website and see the Directors' photos and names – I haven't challenged anonymity, but I was commenting that roles and what everyone does is largely unclear. Actually, your role is clear, but I'm sure lots of people are interested to know the approx time commitment involved with being a director now you've made that clearer thanks. What isn't clear is how any of the thoughts I've shared are "potentially libellous" – can you explain please? That isn't my intention, this is a small non-league football message-board and certainly isn't a place for big rows. But if there's anything you can add on the issue – which directors do what – I'm sure others will be just as interested as I am, so there's no need for that info to be restricted to a two-person chat. (Plus I work on Saturdays at the moment, so getting to games is awkward.)

Investment opportunity reminds me of all sorts of offers. Like restructuring e.g redundancies. Privatisation, widening the ownership base. Business re engineering, lower grades.
