And yes the #7 is Kate Oakley - not signed yet, assume she is still trialling. Supposedly spent a week last summer training with the squad too.
Emma Thompson & Libby CB both watching from the crowd, both well but currently clubless, hopefully they can sort something soon for themselves

Promising.....Hopeful..... I'm really bummed that none of the preseason will be streamed. I'm really hurting for seeing some of the action. Off season, and preseason is a real bummer especially when there has only been the bare minimum of the team announced so far.
Personally, I'm not a fan of the 5 back, wingback system. With Hazzard, Hamilton, and Palmer we should have a very solid midfield. Sticking talented offensive players in the back puts a major physical strain on then getting into attacking play. I'd rather see us gain a solid defender for a 4 back system.
Then again.... I'm not the coach and I haven't seen the team on the field.....

Friendly today at home to Reading finished 1-1. I thought we played quite well and limited Reading to only a few chances. Lots of corners that didn't come to anything though!
Lewes goal was scored by Kate Oakley, who had just come on as a sub. Put through 1v1 from a Hazard through ball and placed the ball past the keeper. Reading's goal came after a free kick was saved and a Reading player was first to the rebound.
Not sure who decided on the kits - found the Lewes white and the Reading pink quite hard to distinguish at times!
Team (I think) was: Whitehouse; Rigler (Hack HT), Cleverly, Garrad; Hamilton, Olding, Hazard (Palmer 68), Farrugia; Gray (Blades 68), Barsero-Carreira; Pursey (Oakley HT).

1-2 to West Ham, close game but West Ham a little better with the ball. Most of our chances come from the direct running from Grey and Farrugia. Goal for us from Anna Grey, great finish from the edge of the box. Looks great. Our system 343, doesn’t allow us to get Hazard, Olding and Palmer all in the same team. I would perhaps consider having one of Hazard or Olding fill one of the wide forward roles, and then I think we would be sorted. Sarah BC still growing into the pace of the game at this level.
