In Combined Counties Division 1 and top by 11 points and playing to crowds as high as 1700. Lot of money over there and that would be some away game. www.guernseyfc.com/

Just bouncing this thread as Guernsey are pulling up trees again this season and in semi finals of F.A. Vase where in the previous round they beat Walsall Wood in front of 2,600.
Guernsey were only formed in 2011 and are a community based club have most of there league game still to play but could be in a league with Lewes soon as they are step 5 in the non league pyramid.

Unreal how far they've come in such a short time. Presumably being the only club on the island they must do pretty well with income on gate receipts. £5-£7 for a match day ticket. Wouldn't mind ticking Guernsey off the list as an away day!

I would definitely be up for a visit there.

So Hastings will be playing international football then. We might get them in the league cup.

I would have thought every Ryman South club will be hoping they avoid a trip to Guernsey on a Tuesday night during the winter months!

Please correct me if I am wrong. My understanding for acceptance into current league was that opposition would not be expected to travel midweek and all travel expenses for opposition to be paid by Guernsey for weekend games. Whether this carries over to Ryman remains to be seen.

I thought all home teams paid travel for away teams coming to visit. If that makes sense…

Opposition teams stay overnight paid for by Guernsey. They also pay their own travelling costs for away matches.

It would be a fantastic away day, aren't they community owned as well? They must have a good following and must do a lot for the community over there as they have huge gates, would be interesting if they were able to get to a national league or to see what their max attendance would be.

Guernsey pay for 20 members of the away team to travel with one overnight stay - games are normally either played at 1pm on a Saturday (with a return flight to Gatwick on Sat night) or 3pm and returning on Sunday.
Some flexibility will have to be applied to the fixture list as next season there will be at least 2 more midweek games.
They have a strong "ex-pat" support in the south and average around 80 for most away games
