I dropped into the Pan today, first time in a while, to do a little repair job and was quite impressed with the pitch. It looks pretty damn good to me.
Nice new goal nets too.
The place is taking shape nicely for the new season.

That pitch was in Blue Square South last season. We must be paying it lots of money to drop a league......... ;D .......and, of course, Rodge the Dodge must be on £800 a week.......... ;D

I think you'll find it milhams that do the main works through out the summer and its milhams that do most of the work through out the winter. All Rodger does is sit on a tractor and makes it look pretty and sometime cant really do that, that well. so i would not really call him a unsung hero. So anybody could sit on a tractor and go up and down.

I think you are right about Milhams. But anyone who spends the amount of time down there doing things that Dodge does, without any financial reward, is an unsung hero in my book.

Yes it would be nice to know who will profit from this sell-off. Not "owners" apparently.

Roger is a hero. That pitch always looks its best and it doesn't do it by itself. Did you go to Dartford, where at half-time, some sprinklers arose from the pitch, like temporary city toilets, and they sprayed the training subs? I'm not sure we need those for a while. I prefer Roger's method and, if you say a word against him from now on, I will use language that may force a temporary suspension of my rights to be on this forum.

Look, all Rodger does is sit on his little red toro and travels up and Down. He does not know how to adjust the height of cut and How to adjust the blades to cut. And he gets all the credit! Also does He do divots, no. Sprinklers, no! So come on then FRP give it to me.

Or someone who works for Milhams and does many of the works on the pitch as well as Roger. Fingers does a great job too and I guess Albion is Jack Fingers?

Roger is a fantastic man and is a massive part at Lewes football club in my view. Albion why dont you go down to the pan and "sit on a little red toro and travel up and Down"
Also if im not mistaken i believe rodger is also in charge of running the coach for both players, staff and supporters for away games ? (Well i contacted him if i was planning on traverling to an away game !)

Sensible posters: lets keep the peace and not rise to the bait. Until we play serious games.
