So they just scraped a draw against the might of Montenegro.
Oh dear. A little bit of pressure and our "superstars" wilt.
Suppose Montenegro had played the first half like the second? It would have been very embarrassing.
The home manager used his head and changed things at half time and completely changed the game. Hodgson did nothing to counter it.
Overpaid, over-hyped and overrated. The lot of them.

I don't buy any of that. They have 2 players in Serie A and that's about it. None of them are considered to be "world class". But I'm not mocking them at by saying that. Quite the opposite in fact. They are a very small country. I'm mocking England if anything. They are comparative minnows on the world stage and made England look pedestrian. Intimidating? Well they are not on the pitch and the "highly professional" English players should be able to blot that out. They did for 45 minutes. Roy Keane said it as it is. Every time England play an important game they disappoint.
British football is in a hole. Look at how all the home nations are doing.......

Who in the England squad is world class? There is not one world class player in that side.
The bookies had Montenegro slight favs yesterday?
As for rest of home nations there playing as good as they always have been?
People need to realise England are a average side at best!

Places in the iron curtain such as Poland, Bulgaria and Romania as examples and most of the time the team over came this intimidation by playing good football to shut the crowds up. I had faith in Roy Hodgson but tonight that has been dented a bit. i can see us still winning the group with three games at home and one away to play but teams like this should be swept under the carpet if you want to progress and prove you are a potential World Cup winner

As for rest of home nations there playing as good as they always have been? Perhaps to someone of tender years, like yourself, young master MacLeod. But us old geezers remember the 'glory' days for Scotland, qualifying for 5 World Cups on the trot - now we've missed 4 in a row. But we are currently the strongest home nation, given that we are propping-up 5 countries.

There can be only one. Scotland where good when? Also only world class player in the home nations plays for Wales and that's Bale. Joe Hart probably closest for England now, the rest are ageing or over hyped (Rooney)

England got what they deserved last night. We dominated the first half and Montenegro dominated the second, so there is no doubt that a draw was a fair result.
We no longer have any world class players, in my opinion. Joe Hart is very over-rated and has been at fault for quite a few of the goals Manchester City have conceded this season, Ashley Cole is not as good as he once was and Wayne Rooney has never fulfilled the potential he showed when he first broke into the Everton side.
The only player in the set-up who may become world class in the future is Jack Wilshere, although the amount of injuries he seems to suffer from may prevent him achieving that.
Qualification is still in our hands, especially with three of our four remaining qualifiers being at Wembley. However, it looks as though we are going to have to do it the hard way.

I thought Hart had quite a decent game. The initial save from the (ridiculously free) header that led to their goal was excellent.
I can remember when Scotland were quite good. The 1974 world cup springs to mind when they had half of the infamous Leeds team playing and didn't lose a game. They simply didn't score enough v Zaire.
Nowadays they wouldn't beat the Iceland Youth Team. (The frozen food company that is, not the country).
Something is wrong with the British game and has been for 40 years.

Montenegro obviously aren't big fans of recycling given the amount of rubbish on the pitch last night

Look at Spain Germany they focus on youth, at youth level they teach one touch football with heavy balls so ball is passed on the ground not the long ball pooe that has tainted English game for years. We to obsessed with money and having the best European talent they also are country before club where as we are club before country there is no national pride, international football is a chore for the English players.
