It says a lot about this game that Kingstonian played like a side already relegated and yet our keeper was named man of the match. In truth he did make many more saves than his opposite number but we somehow sleep-walked to a meaningless victory.
Our latest centre forward experiment was to put the pint-sized Walter Figueira up front and have him scrabbling for the ball, usually to no avail, and becoming increasingly frustrated - culminating in a red card for kicking out at an opponent in injury time with the whistle already blown for a foul in his favour.
Walter had, to his credit, put us ahead on 52 minutes, prodding the ball home after a rare Rooks attack in numbers undid the Kingstonian defence. Six minutes later Ryan Gondoh, on as a substitute, squared the ball to the onrushing Ronnie Vint, who buried a shot high into the corner, and that seemed to be that.
But not quite. The visitors put together a neat move on 90 minutes and at last slotted the ball past Nathan. Unfortunately for them they weren't able to build on that success, but the atmosphere - for reasons not apparent in the stand - grew suddenly feisty. Sanchez Ming and their bolshy no. 9 Eddie Dsane were shown yellow cards, and then Figueira was sent off.
Crowd 905. Horsham visit on Tuesday evening, and if we play like this we'll be blasted off the park.

Thanks I couldn't see what the red was for. Awful quality from both sides not helped by the wind. If the kingstonian number seven played football as well as he found acres of space on the wing we would have been theashed
