I only "saw" the match via X, but it sure sounds like the ladies made some very good efforts for a draw as the match came to a close. Too bad as even a single point would have been nice.

Looks a straight shoot out between Reading and Lewes. Three points against Palace would be very welcome

Durham, Reading and Watford all look in free fall at the moment, losing their last few games heavily. Our goal difference is worth a point as it stands but to make it count we have to put 3 points on the board.

I can't see Palarse giving us any chances as they could get promoted this season. That match between them and the Black Cats is going to be such a humdinger on the 28th.

Lewes Women away at Southampton. Just my two pence.
The first half an hour was the worst I have seen us play all season. We were nervous in every action and could not figure a way of sorting it out. Trying to play our way out without being able to string two passes together is asking for trouble. Oo and behold, we play direct a couple of times, the ball falls our way, crossed low and Riglar, who should have started upfront last time out, scores with our first shot on goal. Southampton had their first goal kick in the 44th minute. We were no where near it in the first half, and very lucky to go in 1-2.
The second half is completely then flipped on its head. We played like we should have been playing for the last half dozen matches, like we needed a win. We absolutely dominated in every department for 45 minutes with a few counter attacks breaking through but bravely defended.
Unfortunately the pressure didn’t pay; despite our dominance we didn’t manage to test the keeper enough. The early hesitancy in the team decided the result.
Now, in my opinion, what does make a difference is the manner of defeat. My worse fears were realised after 17 minutes. But that second half was exceptional. Two big games left. Two big wins needed.
Anyone thinking we can’t beat Crystal Palace hasn’t been watching close enough. There is hardly anything between the whole league. I missed the shoot out win, but the 2-3 at Sutton we ran them close for the most part.
Results went our way today, in as much as giving us a second chance. The extra game Reading have against Blackburn is big, as Reading then play Durham and Watford in their other two fixtures.
Hopefully we can pack the pan for Palace and give us a chance against London City.
But alas, it is three weeks until that home game. Well done the FA.
The travelling contingent were great today too.
