Absolutely superb today. Can't remember a Lewes team winning so many 50-50s, against a good side. Played some lovely football in the first half but what impressed me more was that we looked relatively comfortable when they were chasing the game in the second half. Sat quite deep, well organised, invited them to break us down, then killed the game on the break. A few contenders for motm...Elliott and Penney were immense at the back but thought Whelpdale just shaded it for working his socks off and a tidy finish for the goal. Pritchard excellent too. Felt a little sorry for Carey who had an afternoon to forget but hey ho, you make your bed. Awful stadium...that area in front of the club house, with no terracing, must have been designed by someone with zero knowledge of football crowds.

Days like today can't come often enough. A great win for us underdogs against a form team going for the playoffs. Brilliant stuff. I was expecting a second half onslaught and something resembling The Alamo, but we held them reasonably comfortably. The shot onto the post was a hairy moment but there wasn't much else, and we had some great chances too. Come on you Rooks!

I conversed with Joe VINES , who made it quite plain that both Marcus & Ayo were the biggest contributors to our tremendous success today. So in keeping with my award to praise the good , these two will share my match award. Badgeman

That was uploaded quickly! I thought it a good game all round. I hope the little lad that got hit by the ball is OK.

Anyone notice one of the goals was a funny shape? Must better at the back, well done ! Defensively, I thought we were much better throughout the team than in recent home games. That's why I chose Whelpdale as my motm, as he set the tone off the ball by closing down their keeper (who we know is good with his feet) and generally working hard. I think he's a better option in that central role rather than Murtagh, now that Wood appears to have been discarded. Our second came from Gondoh harrying their defence. In midfield we were also much more aggressive and pressed really well. It's the way forward against the top teams. On another note, the stewards I came across yesterday were really friendly and an example of how to engage with away fans.
