This may not be the most important thread concerning our season, but I wonder if anyone knows the rules concerning kick off times?
I know that Spurs, and no doubt others, have been heavily fined for being a minute late into the tunnel. No doubt tv has an impact at that level, but....
Yesterday, we kicked off at 3 02. All the other games had started on time. There were 3 minutes stoppage time in the first half, so players left the field at 3.48. The second half kicked off at 4.12, ie half time lasted 24 minutes!
All other Premier division results were, inevitably, in before ours.
When we do come out, there has to be yet another series of exercises and sprints before they actually start.
Games at the Pan seem to be particularly lax on time. Why is this?

Maggie told me last season that the women's team had been fined for kicking off late by the league. No idea what the rules in the Isthmian League are though.

Surely this is down to the referee? I'm usually by the season ticket gate so I see the officials calling the teams out. The teams don't hang about so I can only assume the refs leave it too late. I've been to countless away games where we've kicked off late too.

I would agree, the referee calls the teams out. Which doesn't, of course, answer the question!
Why are they so late? Are we giving them too many biscuits with their half time tea?

The referee controls the time including the half time break. If he or she feels a team is taking the piss he can add a rule breach to the charge sheet and a team will be fined by the league. But ultimately it is their call, not the club, in keeping the time

Thanks everyone, that's pretty much what I expected.
The issue is, how to explain to the dog that his tea is so late? 😉
