Apologies for the lateness of these ‘Pan for Gold’ draw results. My Applemac has picked a fight with the Lewes FC website and for some reason I can’t access. But now I find I can get in here via googling the Fans Forum. The December Draw was held in the Rook Inn after the game with Walton Casuals that had a pretty exciting climax when the Rooks grabbed a brilliant late equalizer. We had Lewes FC Chairman Stuart Fuller and Lewes FC Shop Manager Barry Haffenden alongside big fan (tall-wise literally!) Deaksey and others as witnesses. First ball drawn was that of Andy & Marvin. The Fisher Street hairdressing company will receive £60.50. Second ball of No 54 won Wayne Brockhurst £30.50. Third ball - No 12 - won Lee Cobb £30.50. We then moved on to January’s Draw. This was a bit of a love-in. Haffers drew ball 33 which just happened to be that of Stuart Fuller who wins £60.50. At which point Stuart shamelessly namedropped that he was off to Las Vegas on business in the morning but would have the chance to put his winnings at the mercy of the roulette wheel and that any monetary manna resulting from his fiscal madness would go to the Lewes FC 12th Man Fund. We wished him much good luck. Next ball drawn was 24 - that of Peter Hiscox, a veteran Lewes FC supporter who has put much time, energy and money into the Rooks over many years. He won £30.50. Stuart Fuller was invited to draw the final ball. Somehow but somewhat inevitably he pulled out 68. So Barry ‘Haffers’ Haffenden won £30.50. Interpol are investigating. The February draw should have been held last night at the Shoreham game but it didn’t happen - I’m sure you get my drift. The Pan certainly did!
PS. Stuart Fuller’s roulette wheel gamble failed to deliver but he nevertheless generously donated his ‘Pan for Gold’ winnings to the 12th Man Fund. Very nice gesture indeed.
