Says in the argus that we are not entitled to a fee but that lewes may play Brighton in a money spinning friendly. SK says that it's up to professional clubs to do the right thing in a situation like this..... Yeah right !

Probably because he's only a kid - after all, Brighton won't be sticking him in their first team for a few years yet...

Reading the papers and the web site you would have thought that SK and the youth set up had found Solly. Solly spent most of his younger years with the Crystal Palace youth set up. Being released some two or three years ago? Solly then played for the highly talented Eastbourne Borough Youth side, with Bayan Fenwick and Josh Phillips, who are both at Lewes u18s now. josh Phillips left to play at Eastbourne Town Fc and had trials with Brighton and then trials with Stoke City, Bayan was picked up by Portsmouth, also with Billy Alsop from the same Borough Youth team. Four of the other players are at Burgess Hill Town, with three of them playing first team football, and with one of them trailing at Leyton and with Gillingham and one with Sunderland. The Eastbourne Borough Youth Manager was Paul Cally and coached by an ex Southampton Player. At the start of this season Solly and Josh Phillips was training with Eastbourne Borough Reserves, Phillips had played the previous season with Lewes u18s as a first year, Solly and Bayan followed suit and joined Lewes this season as second years. Solly and Bayan have scholarships with St Bedes School, with Solly representing England Independent Schools which has already been shown on this web site Well done Solly, as l now the hard work you put in, but we will be sorry to see you go As l have said before Lewes Fc have the best Youth team in the county, Jason or Steve or who ever started this talent trial, better make sure it continues and have somewhere for the players to go to after the u18s, because your competition thanks you
