Not sure where January went but it did so we took the opportunity to catch up with that month’s draw on Wednesday night during the brilliant performance of the Mighty Rooks against Dulwich. We did January’s draw at half time when Dave ‘Come Dine With Me’ Lamb pulled out the first ball. It was that of Norm’s young lady Sue Evans (No 64) who wins £60.50 first prize. Second prize of £30.50 goes to Peter Medhurst (No 47). Third prize also of £30.50 was won by Cathy Brinkhurst (No 46). Cathy is my sister and is related by marriage to Steve Brinkhurst who is currently enjoying superb form as an ace defender cum surging winger with the Rooks. At full time in the Rook Inn we held February’s draw. I was far too excited at the match result and heartening performance by Lewes FC to remember who drew the balls but they know who they are. Amazingly first ball out was No 64 so that means that ultra-lucky Sue Evans cops another £60.50! Next out was ball 7 – that of Alan Sayers who does a great volunteer job regularly manning a turnstile at matches. Third February claimant was long-time Pan for Gold member Nick Fears who will be very pleased to be back in the winning groove after quite a while. Patience is a virtue, Nick.
