..will be held in the Rook Inn at 2.30pm just before the Billericay game. Latest member to join the monthly lottery is my nephew Gary Huxley. He's a Brighton fan living in the Crowborough area and sorely needed somewhere to park in Lewes so he could catch the train to Falmer. We did a deal - he now parks on our town centre drive on BHA match days in return for subscribing £5 per month to 'Pan for Gold'. He could easily win his money back in every draw but Lewes FC benefits from 60% of the take. Win, win for all concerned. Gary also comes to the occasional game at the Dripping Pan and we are trying to correct this behavioural anomaly at every opportunity so that he becomes a regular when Brighton are away.

:DAs promised we made the August 'Pan for Gold' Draw in the Rook Inn yesterday with Derrick Parris, Peter Hiscox, Roy Graven and Norman Duncan as witnesses. First ball out was that B A Cramp (No 60) who wins £56. Second ball out was that of No 31 - Derrick Parris (!) - who was delighted to win £28 'on the spot'. Third ball was that of Jason Foulkes (No 18) who also scooped £28. Jason walked into the bar a few minutes after the draw was made so he too got his prize cheque straight away. Another happy chappy. And the subsequent three points for the Rooks was a real bonus!
