Aveley's income generation is impressive, for a very non-descript ground and leisure centre like facilities it was busy with other events when I went last season - another game going on when we arrived, a wedding while the game was going on and then when we left they were prepping for a 21st birthday - all would have brought in far more cash than the Aveley v Lewes game. A very good model for how a non-league club should be run in my mind - not easy for Lewes to replicate given the facilities at The Pan, but certainly something to be considered in the future.

Hi Nhorm, The doubling of wages was in summer 2021 and required £600k donations in 2021/2 from Eddie Ramsden. The extra £250,000 FA money was in 2022/3 season but we still needed another £600k in donations from Eddie.

Indeed - Aveley made the NL South play offs with an average home attendance of 523. They did but can they sustain that? Cheshunt's promotion didn't work out well, did it? Who knows, but it's still a good achievement. We can all play the 'what if' game....
