That's it, folks - email sent to owners has just confirmed that a shade over two-thirds of owners have voted for the Mercury 13 takeover bid, on a turn-out of 42%. Watch this space...

Pretty comprehensive then, let's hope regardless of how people voted that they continue to support the teams.

Yep, I was against but I'm glad too see democracy in action. Happy we had the chance too vote on proposals. Wish all involved best possible outcomes as they move forward.

It feels very much like the day after the Brexit vote. Let's hope for a better outcome!

A decisive result which is at least a relief. Thank god it wasn’t 52/48.
No easy solutions for anyone here and whilst the result is not one I wanted I respect that everyone had the best interests of the club at heart. The business model the club had operated on was flawed and was unsustainable after the benefactors had left so either we were to make the best of equality fc on reduced income or selling the women’s team to set them free to grow as much as it can under its new majority ownership.
Good luck to everyone involved

Surprised it was only a 42% owner turnout for such an important issue. Hey Ho at least it is done and we can now move forward with some certainty..

Happy days. The buyers know they're the only show in town and that the Board have no Plan B, so are certain to ease off their negotiating pressure. And every potential agent, player, supplier and employee knows the extra cash that's available for the next three years. Roll up, roll up, the election's coming soon....

So they should have waved through the investment secretly without letting anyone know? I'm sure no-one would have complained, everyone seems pretty easy going and relaxed at the moment

It does seem a small turnout of votes for such a strategic decision (all be it a very difficult choice to make). Good luck to Lewes and both sides of the argument were well presented; whilst it was a hard decision to make the turnout of voters was not as high as I would expect. In essence an owner, by the very nature of being an owner is a hugely interested party in the outcome.

I'm sure the breakdown won't be published, but I'd be very surprised if the majority of No votes weren't from the Lewes community as opposed to the famed global community – and quite probably the majority of votes fullstop. Just my opinion, before the calls for proof start.

Sooner or later we've got to let this go.

That sounds exactly like the argument of Brexiteers. You should never let things go if you believe in them
