If last year is any indication, it will be a long-drawn-out affair. Scott seems to hold his cards very close to his vest on team announcements when compared to others.
Izzy's first year was very promising. However, the last two have given her little playing time and very few starts. When I spoke with her at the end of the season, she mentioned that she would love to play back in the States where she went to college. So maybe she's aiming for the NWSL.

I tend to say the same thing every close season in terms of announcement of new signings in that everyone should be patient. A lot happens behind the scenes, with deals often derailed at the last minute. We also want to make sure the announcements are timed and well prepared. So no news is not bad news..

Say it once and you may listen. Say it twice and you may understand. Say it three times and you won’t forget

Very sad to see Nat Haigh and Kelly Lindsey part ways with the club - any elaboration on why?..

Why aren’t we capable of sorting contracts for longer than a 1 year (10 months?!) period at a time?
A bit of consistency and future planning wouldn’t go amiss surely?

When I asked the question a couple of years ago, I was told that it basically involved our financial position. We were not in a position to commit to more than one year.
I would think that we have now established a pretty consistent financial pattern over the last few years. With a number of much larger clubs starting to throw $$$ at their women's team we're very vulnerable to losing some key players. A two-year contract for someone like Hack, McKenna, Mason, Palmer, Whitehouse, or Hazard would not be a high-risk deal.
In fact, IMO, if we cannot find a way to go fully professional with our women's team in the very near future, then our position in the WCL is in danger.
