Had a decent enough start to the season but then took a knock I believe which saw Brad start ahead of him. Brad’s great form and the fact that they’re both a similar type of box-to-box player meant that Alfie was left on the bench. Started against Aldershot and was very much lacking match fitness. It might have been an issue with his attitude as well, being captain and sitting on the bench more often that not I can’t imagine he’d be happy or perhaps he had lost some confidence? Who knows. Best of luck to him anyway. Alfie Egan now playing for AFC Totton. Bio says he left Lewes following a disagreement with the manager. He disagreed with Tony’s decision not to start him. Not uncommon in football. Harvey Hughes is also at Totton

Any news why Salmon left? Looking at the stats so far this season when Salmon played says it all for me - 8 starts, 6 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss - There’s more to this than we’ll ever know but the bottom line is players of his age, experience and commitment need regular football .

Any news why Salmon left? Just wants to play regularly. Unfortunately had a poor start to the season, following the rather bizarre non move to Horsham, and Vint and Elliott (initially a right back) became the first choice pair. Since then he's been a lot more solid when needed but still seems to be back up. Sods law Vint or Elliott now gets injured (although I suppose there's the option of moving Penney back into the defence). Sorry to see Will go. Hope he has somewhere decent lined up.

Any news why Salmon left? He wanted to play regularly and that was unlikely to happen in the remainder of the season. A brilliant character, fitter than most players half his age

Best of luck to Deon Moore who has joined Sutton United, who recently appointed ex-Hornchurch boss Steve Morison as manager. Big move, any chance we got a bit of cash for him?

Must have caught Deon on a good day. Far too inconsistent to play anywhere near that level, imo, but what an opportunity. Always felt he lacks a bit of self belief ...no doubt he has talent. At least we are not short of wide men and Deon was on the fringes recently. Hopefully frees up some budget to bring in a central forward, although we seem to be doing fine at the moment with just one on the books.
