Hmm where to begin really but in my opinion we were simply not good enough against a side that are basically county league standard. As the game wore on there was only ever going to be one winner. How many saves did their keeper have to make basically none where as Winnie made 2 blinding saves second half. WE have players to come back in but need a huge improvement over the next few weeks.

Don't even know what to say, our club has been diabolical to watch for years now. Results like this have become the norm and it is just pathetic. How we were left in a situation where our only striker going in to this game was Alex Laing is beyond incompetent, don't know what to say about Lewes anymore. Sick of it. See you Saturday

I actually thought we played ok last night and should have won. Laing didn't play as a striker, Brotherton played as a lone front man which again, although him and Laing played well, I would have liked to see them play as a pair. I don't understand why we're worrying about dominating the midfield area, especially against lower league opposition, just play two strikers please! I think it's a bit harsh of fans to criticise last nights performance overall, especially if you weren't there. The effort was definitely there last night and the players didn't deserve any abuse even though it was obviously disappointing to lose.

Did not see the game last night but obviously a disappointing result especially considering the financial rewards the FA Cup offers. We knew this season was going to be a transition. Transitions take time in football. Consistency and goals is going to be key. I am sure DF is aware of this and will be looking to improve things as the season unfolds. As long as I see 100% from every player who puts on a Lewes shirt, win or loose, we stand together, what ever. Remember the pre-season predictions...top half of the table.

Look we have had a couple of bad performances and bad results, the manager knows this and said he going to make changes, I dont believe what im seeing on facebook, madness, and from people who should know better DF is getting hung out to dry because of previous failings of other managers, he deserves the chance to put things right and he will, how can we expect our team to play without fear when people are so critical, some of the old Lewes till i die boys seem to take great delight in any problems or setbacks we have and not even sure they go anymore. people are saying CF is our problem and has been for some seasons but we have a new loan CF, DF found a certain J.Smith who seem to do ok anyway DF knows theres a problem and will solve it, the seasons just started.

I suppose, having seen the improvement in the latter half of last season, it is frustrating not to appear to have maintained that momentum. I am still unsure as to whether we are over reliant on young, but promising players, in the starting eleven. Will be interesting to see what impact, if any, Culley can make.
Goodness me just read that McCreadie is back and Jones moves on. Thought Jones did well pre season but less effective since then.

One big difference with recent seasons is that rather than pretending everything is fine, the Manager acknowledges that something ain't right and he seems busy trying to fix it.

I'll admit we didn't actually play too badly last night, bar a few players, one of who has been absolutely terrible this season and been rightfully moved on today.
However there is just no excuse to lose to a county team, i would love to see the difference in budgets. Yes i know its the magic of the cup bla bla, but we have seen this problem for years. Unacceptable.
No complaints with Freeman though, seems just as pi*sed off as us and is doing things to try and change it. Good to see!
