rev...i'm back on this new forum and i hope i dont break your strict rules...but i'll state my position. to ignore all the previous stuff and hope that there will be a rose coloured future is just pipedreams. firstly, i am aware of the reasoning behind keiran's walk away. secondly, the bullying he was subject to is a disgrace. i wont name the person responsible but he has previous for mischief making. i do not support the movement that is steve king. i hope the club get promoted and play good football under him and my great wish is that this is done on budget. i reserve the right to speak my mind on all things rooks and if this is not allowed, please tell me soon to avoid my pain. lewes fc is a great club and deserves the very best but disagreement is part of football. i look forward to debate with anyone sensible. not you lee.

Thanks Sonna your efforts are really appreciated and I am sure others respect this. Glad to see bullet point 5 in your list of rules to get rid of any offenders.

Hi Billy. Glad you could join us.
As long as everyone is on their best behavior then I don't mind what goes on in this forum. What I won't stand for is the recent tirade of rubbish that closed the last forum down. I don't need the headache of it and I'm sure everyone doesn't need the headache of signing up to a new forum!!
This by the way goes for everybody.
I set this forum up to allow the fans to have a place to share news, gossip, stories, debates and just general banter.
Kieran did a great job with the last forum but the decision to close it was perhaps the correct one. However, this is not something that we should all dwell on. He is still a mate and thats whats more important.
Some people know about the past. Some don't. Some people care. Some don't.
As long as the club does well both on and off the pitch then I will be happy. As will most people.

Sorry if I seem cynical but I just think it will turn out like the old one once more people from the old one come on. I very much hope it doesn't mind you.

Well it comes as no surprise that Kieran was again bullied and threatened with legal action. Three times under the reign of SK, has a fans forum been subjected to threats and weight has been brought to bear in order to silence peoples opinions and comments. I understand if there are libelious comments without any truth but certainly of late I haven't read anything in that vein or perhaps I have just missed it. Nevertheless it appears that if we disagree with Herr Grippenfureur or the party line we may be oppressed and perhaps sent packing to some gulag or worse still forcefully exiled to Eastbourne Borough. I just hope that history is not going to repeat itself. Where is the official comment from the Board or is this just an early example of manipulation and bullying? Great that rev has started this one up and a big thanks goes to him.

A fresh start without reference to previous problems would be great. But we live in the real world and, sadly, it won't be allowed to happen. It would be helpful to know why it all kicked off. Otherwise it just rumbles on and gives the rumour mongers and mischief makers more ammunition. If it is all down to the manager then why didn't it happen at his previous club? They had a pretty active forum too. Get it in the open and that should be the end of it.
I didn't see much wrong on the old forum either. A few totally unsubstantiated claims about money and personnel from mostly anonymous new posters. You get that talk on most football forums.
Kieran specifically mentioned a board member rather than the manager. So a one-liner from them would clear it all up.

I think you make a valid point about lets summarise what happened flip side of that argument is though that that just feeds fuel to the fire. Difficult one. Personally i feel its better to be concentrating on te new season and looking forward to watching football again. I enjoy watching and am not so bothered what goes on behind the scenes, I cant control it nor influence it nor do I know the whole strory if indeed there ever is one.

I don't really understand what the fuss was about. However, when I read board member I assumed Kieran mean't a member of this forum. Has Kieran severed all ties with the club? Posts under a different thread seem to imply this - that would be very sad if true. The new season needs to start a.s.a.p because there is too much time at present for idle gossip and rumour mongering.

Yes it would be nice to know who will profit from this sell-off. Not "owners" apparently.

I agree with fanonthebus. While there is not much happening on the pitch, we are all bound to be speculating. Then we heard the news that the King was back. Most of us (I haven't seen an opinion poll) would agree that things are looking bright now. I remember a match in the King's first reign when some fans started to berate the forum. I didn't even know there was a forum at the time. Whatever happened to create a rift between the forum and the Club then, shouldn't be allowed to happen again. So far, it appears that there are still a couple of purported Rooks fans who prefer to attack the club on this forum rather than support it. They should keep their peace or support another club. I can't think of a board member who has posted on the forum. I think there was a clarification by a board member on some issue a few months ago. Anybody who buys a share - going cheap at £30 minimum - can claim to be an owner but they won't be a board member unless elected. If those who think they could run the club any better want to stand for election, then please step forward.

Sensible posters: lets keep the peace and not rise to the bait. Until we play serious games.

Thank you for starting the new forum up, it is an absolute lifeline for us exiles and enables us to keep in touch with whats going on. As I am 57 does this make me the oldest "Ball Boy" on here?
