Seems there a few Claret and Blue on here.
Carroll set to sign today after losing Maynard to Cardiff.
Think West Ham will stay up also think, Carroll will kick start himself again.

I think West Ham will more than stay up now. The Carroll/Jarvis axis will be very effective and I think we can look forward to a comfortable season....unless Sam goes (as is rumoured) and Redknapp returns. Then I would fear for our financial future. Today however, the future looks bright.

3-0 West Ham
They look like a very very solid team, they will be top 10 if they play like that all season, quality result.
Nolan and Carroll what a combo, i tell ya what Caroll looks like a world beater today, hope his injury is not to bad, cant see him going away with England now

Our expectation should be top ten with the players we now have. The board have committed a lot of money and a relegation struggle would be poor reward for that. My guess is they will take action if we do struggle now. Very interesting times and what an opportunity to build something substantial. COYI!!

“sacked in the morning" was ringing out of Upton Park from the west ham fans - or was it the Chelsea fans?

Bit harsh on the Chelsea fans there Sean! They have some quite old issues with Rafa as it happens (not least because he said he would never ever manage Chelsea!) but I think it's less about him and more about the way Abramovich ditches managers one ofter the other, never allowing anyone time to build. Why shouldn't they protest about this and the way it is making the club a laughing stock? They will take to Rafa if he starts to put some wins together but will he be given enough time?

As why not moan in the past when they sacked previous managers, maybe as they where winning things and now there out the champs league already, there not looking like they will win the league. So they start moaning there happy when there winning but not when things go belly up.

So they start moaning there happy when there winning but not when things go belly up. They moaned when the Special One went! They also had plenty to say and rightly so about Avram Grant being shown the door. Fans obviously enjoy success when it comes but they can and do have opinions about the idiotic way the club is directed. When a club legend like Di Matteo is chucked out just like that in favour of Benitez, who has no prior attachment to Chelsea, you have got to expect a bit of flack from the fans and that is just what happened. PS I also read that Grant might go back to Chelsea in some capacity...he would have to be bonkers to go back there. Can't see it happening really but nothing is impossible at that place. Maybe they will bring back Micky Droy to shore up the defence!
